Tragic Student Crash Kills Two Injures Three Near Ravenna Arsenal
A car carrying students collided with an explosives truck bound for the Ravenna arsenal on Route 5. Edwin Fenstermaker and Wilma Gordon died on arrival. Frank Nye, Margaret Chipukaiser, and Robert Patton were injured. The truck driver was not harmed. officials assess the explosion risk as minimal.

Custodian Foils Thief Thinking Him A Rat At University
Custodian George Wilhite chased a man he mistook for a rat after hearing a noise in the University Atrium. In the Registrar's office he wrestled the suspect yet the thief escaped with four student transcripts. Police believe the intruder entered via the Auditorium entrance and vaulted the counter.
