Trucker Charged In Student Deaths
A 24 year old truck driver faces a second degree manslaughter charge after a crash killed two University students and injured others. Edwin Fenstermaker a senior English major, and Wilma Gordon a sophomore Elementary Education major died in the collision near the truck at the scene. Frank Nye and Margaret Chipukaiser survived with injuries as the others were treated at Robinson Memorial hospital. Funeral services were planned for Newton Falls and Braceville.

Dugan To Talk On Guidance At Kent Area Conference
Dr. William F. Dugan of the University of Minnesota will be guest speaker at the Kent area guidance conference at KSU on Saturday April 19. His speech on Current Trends and Issues in Guidance and Testing will highlight an all day event aimed at aiding guidance counselors teachers and administrators through large and small group sessions.

The sixty first meeting of the Ohio Academy of Science will be held April 17 18 and 19 with Dr H F Raup in charge of local arrangements. UI Holds Vote Rallies On Campus Get Out The Vote
Two university rallies sponsored by the United Independents will urge students to vote. The 3 15 p.m. gathering starts at Moulton hall lot with a band marching to Stopher hall to introduce UI candidates. The 7 p.m. event on the green behind the Military Science building includes a torch light march and a review of voting procedures.

KSU Debate Team Heads to Fredericksburg for Forensic Tournament
The KSU debate team will travel to Fredericksburg Virginia to compete in the Grand National Forensic tournament at the Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia. Freshmen Joan Webster and Gary Banas will argue both sides of the question on wage and price control with coach Robert E Stockdale.

Variety Tickets On Sale For April Show At Shine Kent
Variety tickets are now on sale at the Booster club booth for 55 cents. The show is set for April 17 at the Shine Kent theatre with a comedy act also on the program. Tryouts run April 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the University Training School auditorium. Singers dancers actors and musicians may try out. Ten entries so far including four Greek-affiliated acts. Pletcher Resigns SC Post With Letter To McGarr
George Pletcher freshman representative to Student Council resigned yesterday in a letter to acting president Jan McGarr. The letter dated April 7 cites a constitutional rule about freshmen GPA requirements and a possible Constitution change. His resignation will be read at the April 16 Council meeting, the day after elections.
