The Student Council elections committee announced nineteen candidates for the April 19 vote, including three sophomores Phil Dempsey Bill In a related letter the Independent Students Association charged that Bill Lyon, head of the committee, allowed petitions after 12 noon deadline. ISA demanded late petitions be voided citing Article 10 Section 4 of the Student Government Association constitution.

Kent State University will run two summer sessions from June 16 to July 25 and July 28 to August 29 with most current instructors.
