Investigation on Burr spending and student allocations

Traffic Court Issues Over 100 Tickets Since March

More than 100 tickets have been issued by the traffic department since March 25 under the new traffic code. Five have been paid. A newly appointed student traffic court will hold its first session Wednesday at 4 p.m. in its first session.

KSU debate team tied for second place with nine other colleges at the Grand National Forensics tournament held last week at the University of Virginia. Forty two schools represented nationally. University of Pittsburgh won top honors.

About 100 members of the Ohio State Nurses association attended a session in Moulton hall music room where Dr John Painter explained allergies. Mrs Laura Otto of Kent led the visiting nurses in charge of the meeting.

Kent State University Canton enrollment for the spring quarter shows 548 men and 135 women, with 396 veterans among the total. The male majority exceeds four to one, marking a new high for the branch campus.

Vets urged to submit change of status forms soon

Vets enrolled under Public Law 346 are warned today and tomorrow are the final days to file the change of status forms. Forms are available at a Merrill hall table, and subsistence checks will stop June 1 for those who have not completed the paperwork, per the VA training office.

The management association alters its schedule with the meeting moved to April 16 at 7 30 p m. The venue remains 202 S Lincoln Street and is confirmed by vice president Bill Sullivan.

Absence Issue Hovers Over Student Council Session

The council faced a quorum crisis with nearly half of members absent. Two thirds were needed for a valid meeting, and three unexcused absences trigger automatic expulsion. President Hank Johnston warned heads may roll soon as minutes remain unread from three meetings due to the secretary’s absence.
