Kent State ROTC Enrolls 100 More. sixth largest unit
The university received approval from the Second Army to expand the ROTC program to 165 cadets, making Kent State the sixth largest among 40 colleges. Frank Specks Spechalske and Connie Norris were named Kent's most popular man and woman as the Blue and Gold party kept its majority. Spechalske won 512 votes to Roy Newsome's 472, while Norris defeated Martha Lansnger 520 to 448. Spechalske of Delta Phi Sigma and Norris of Beta Gamma Sorority will be presented to students at the Ball on April 16.

Alpha Xi Leads Penny Carnival Fund Total
A record breaking tally over 800 dollars was raised Friday night for the Memorial Stadium fund. Alpha Xi Delta led with 111.40 from booths including leg toss and grab bag, followed by Delta Phi Sigma with 66.10 from a Casino exhibit. About 2000 people attended the Blue Key and Cardinal Key sponsored event featuring 30 booths and other attractions. Trophies were awarded at the April Showers dance to top money making groups. Lowry Hall earned 34.80 in the dormitory division, Terrace Lodge C earned 24.18, and United Christian Fellowship flower stand 20.00.
