Dr Roy E Curtis to Lecture in Brownwood Friday Evening
Dr Roy E Curtis minister of the First Christian Church Brownwood will give an illustrated talk at the high school auditorium Friday May 21 with Alaska expedition slides and Eskimo artifacts. Sponsored by 300 Scouts of Junction part of ticket proceeds aid local scout activities. Curtis and four companions traveled 10 000 miles by sea and ice to build a memorial to Will Rogers and Wiley Post at their fatal crash site in Wallakpa Lagoon Alaska. Memorial Expe dition members included Homer Flint Kellems Roy E Curtis Wilmer Sims John Kayser and Clarence Lee.
