Walsh to Invite Coolidge West
Col C C Walsh president of the West Texas Chamber of Commerce says President Calles of Mexico and President Coolidge of the United States may speak together at the West Texas Chamber of Commerce tribute in Mineral Wells this spring. Walsh plans to invite Coolidge and meet Calles in Mexico City to urge a Texas visit. Senator Morris Sheppard arranged an audience with the White House and the Texas delegation will accompany Walsh to Washington. Walsh and J Miles O Daniel will travel via Dallas San Antonio to Kansas City St Louis and Chicago visiting banks aiding Wool Growers Central Storage Co. In Dallas Walsh will speak Sunday afternoon at the Y M C A as part of Thrift Week, with events led by Dr George Truett and Dr Walter Spawn. In San Antonio he will attend the Texas Centennial Exposition directors meeting.
