Harper to Launch West End Newspaper Under Hunter Editorship
Announcement in last week's Bandera New Era reveals a new Harper newspaper to begin this week owned and edited by Warren Hunter, son of the New Era editor. Warren, long associated with his father, will lead a creditable Harper paper. In Kerrville, The Eagle editor visited Salter Brothers of the Mountain Sun, a leading local newspaper. C. E., famed fisherman, is credited with prompting the present state fish hatchery between Junction and Kerrville and plans a fishing trip to Junction. J. N. Hodges is named to oversee an election in School District No. 1 to decide on a maintenance tax not to exceed 75 cents. Hodges has selected assistants to aid in the election.
