Correction issued on school tax vote date mix up
After last week’s issue, the paper corrected an error in the school maintenance tax vote date. The notice said Wednesday of this week but the vote is actually Saturday. The mistake arose from consulting the January calendar page instead of February.
Court appoints 1926 7 election officers
At the last Commissioners Court meeting appoint ments were made for general election officers for this and next year. Junction No 1 lists W A Quisenberry C W Atchison H O Patterson and C T Holekamp. Gentry Man Dies After Flu Illness
C C Wilson a longtime Gentry resident died at his home on the G W Hodges place Tuesday afternoon around 2 oclock from heart failure linked to a recent bout with flu He was 71 and survived by his wife three daughters Mesdames Maxey and Sullers of Segovia and Kitchens of Menard and one son Cole who lived with him The body was sent to London for burial Wednesday

Visitors Day At School A Success
Friday brought a large turnout at the function school as visitors observed daily pupil work. No schedule changes were needed. the event improved parent understanding and inspired future effort. The reception committee and many registered guests contributed to a social, organized day. Work began Monday on the Frank Wilson building across from the Fritz Hotel. Joe Ramsey oversees the project as a frame structure 46 feet square with eight compartments.

Adjournment of District Court Report
The district court adjourned last week after completing all docketed cases except those with continuances. Jurors were dismissed for the second week prior to adjournment. Robert Young and Clyde Townsend received two year suspended sentences with bonds under 1000 dollars. Perkins and Dora Perkins had their cases dismissed. Bentley Barker August and Bernhard faced a hung jury. Ed Newton’s case also hung. Three Mexicans Lewes Hernandez and Vogt were indicted with bonds of 1000 dollars each and continued to September term. Several other cases were continued.

Browning’s quarterly report was approved, funding balances listed. Wahl Brothers and Jordan won a bid for 414 miles of wire on the South Llano road change at $507. Aid was approved for Mr and Mrs Gentry at $10 monthly for three months. Justice How ell Wright reported $116.45 in fines. Wolf bounty payments extended to May 15 1926. Goben blacksmith building torn down, Bartley building to be partitioned. Ned Linn to oversee construction. J F Ragsdale notes building boom may crowd nonregular attendees out of The Fagle office.
