Concrete business houses in Junction
Ground was broken Monday morning on lots west of the State Bank for two reinforced concrete business buildings to be erected by W P Riley C T Holekamp and H O Denman. The land was bought from Mrs Wilson of San Antonio and includes spaces between the new buildings and the bank. The west building will be 22 by 55 feet and the east 19 14 by 55 feet with a shared 6 inch wall and front center entrances with large plate glass. Bid for material went to Junction Hardware Co after bids from Menard Kerrville and San Antonio were considered. R H Mayfield and wife of Llano visited friends and plan to move to Hebbronville in coming days. Robert is in Liana and Albert in Austin.

MacDonald Fleming Tie The Knot At Local Baptist Parsonage
Luther McDonald and Velma Fleming were married at the Baptist parsonage by Rev. Dekle. They left for a short visit in San Antonio. The groom, son of Wm McDonald, grew up in 700 Springs country and worked at Wahl Brothers Jordan garage. The bride, the Fleming family’s only daughter, attended local school and taught at Cleo school after college. They plan to reside in the local area.

Mrs Buck Hosts Bridge Party At South Llano Ranch
Saturday afternoon Mrs. W. W. Buck entertained the Ladies Afternoon club and guests with a bridge party at her ranch home on South Llano. Miss Fae Taylor was the top guest player and received a guest towel. Mrs. Carl Wolf had the high club score and won the club pendant. Refreshments included congealed fruit salad with whipped cream, heart-shaped potato chips filled with cream chicken, saltines, olives, fruit cake and hot tea. Plate favors were red rose buds filled with toasted pecans.
