Diana Moon returns Friday from Austin where she wed Delbert Langston on Wednesday evening. Langston studies at St Edwards University in Austin and Mrs Langston resumes her nurse duties at Community Hospital in Jal.
Second meeting of the Boy Scouts Mothers' club was held Tuesday afternoon at the Scout hut and plans were made for a farewell party for Wayne Wadsworth who will leave soon for his new home in San Angelo. The mothers also voted to assist the scouts at their refreshment stands at the ball games. J. M. Haid returned Tuesday from Siloam Springs Arkansas where he made a business trip to see about his farm land there. NOTICE To the merchants. The Sew and Sew Club met at Mrs. Cecil Payne's home on Friday and exchanged gifts. Refreshments were served to Estelle Boone Audrey Evans Lelia Sikes Opal Howell Mable Pulliam Evelyn McSpadden and Mrs Payne the hostess. Leona Johnson moved to Brownwood. Next week the club meets with Mrs Pulliam. Quarterly conference is set for Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Methodist church. Randy Johnston visited Monday and Tuesday and took a load of pipe back with him.

Five people died when two planes collided in midair near Freeport. Mitchell Kin and Dave S. Crowley’s family were notified. One plane landed safely. deceased include James Ben Crowley and Crowley's other son. Funeral plans underway for Mitchell Kin’s relatives.

Benton Stone age 62 pioneer cowboy died in Pecos after a week of illness while working on the L. W. Anderson ranch near Wink. His funeral drew many friends from Kermit Wink and nearby towns including Judge and Mrs G E Gilliam Sheriff and Mrs Ellis Summers Tom Roberts Bill Eddins John Later and Nottingham.
