Jal El Paso Plant Builds World Largest Gas Purifier Camp
The Jal area hosts El Paso Natural Gas Companys vast camp with a 46-well Jal field supplying 27 towns and Cananea Mexico. The sour gas purification plant, the world’s largest, processes up to 60 million cubic feet daily, currently about 35 million, using a patented method. J W Cowan leads the treating plant. The camp features athletics, clubs, a new warehouse, and safety contests with strong company involvement. A skating rink is planned for Water Works Celebration.
