May Lose Eye Andy Chambers of Grovant suffered a painful accident Monday when a staple struck him in the eye while forking a wire from a fence post. Dr. Huff attended and feared the injured eye may be lost. Ground was broken for a new Henry Crabtrees residence in the southeast part of town with a modern plan.
An obituary notes the death of Mrs. Laura Harvey formerly of Jackson’s Hole at Wilson after being called from St Anthony. She left the Hole ten years ago and had lived in California recently. Survived by husband, two daughters, and several grandchildren. Also mentions Grace Wilson’s hospital discharge and local notices including farm goods and local employment.

The Third Wyoming infantry is converted into field artillery under Major General Liggeth’s orders. The First Battalion becomes Mathfield artillery, and the Second and Third battalions form the 1th United States ammunition train under Major Harvey B. Lonalgli. Colonel Cavender commands the WAU artillery, which includes a Colorado artillery battalion. A dispatch cites efficiency of Wyoming troops as the reason.
TOG Hull who recently purchased the Wi Herve ranch in Grivent Canyon expects to construct and complete a bridge this fall. Harry Wagner as cashier swears the statement to be true to the best knowledge, sworn September 22, 1917 before Notary Clare Van Vleck. Directors listed include Robt K.E. Miller Th. W. Delaney F. S. Wood.
