Trout Spawn Lost After Notice Failure Near Teton

The J Y Ranch failed to notify in advance of Rainbow trout shipments, 100 gallons of baby fish were lost near Jackson Hole after arrival near Victor. Two gallons died during transfer. remaining spawn were released into the stream. Restocking plans are being pursued after the mishap.

Ferrin Reported in Critical Condition After Appendix Rupture

Relatives say E. B. Ferrin formerly of this place is in Ogden General Hospital critical after a badly ruptured appendix. Friends hope his condition is improving as no further word has been received. Former Resident W W Smith dies in Mississippi

The community mourns W W Smith who died in Columbia Mississippi on September 21 after a life marked by faith and service. He married Fannie Gell Stuart on December 25 1908 and leaves his wife daughter Marjorie parents two sisters five brothers and a large circle of friends. His health declined due to heart leakage, prompting a move to a warmer climate and a return to Jacksons Hole before his death. He helped organize the Baptist Church in Jackson and served the Forest Service with steady loyalty and kindness.
