Butts County Fair Association Meets to Plan Progress
A business meeting of the Butts County Fair Association is set for Friday May 19 at 3 p m in the courthouse. Directors and members are urged to attend as several important matters will be acted on. The fair grounds fence and buildings are progressing and new stock has been sold as canvassing of Jackson business houses continues. Dr Robert VanDeventer attends the Southern Baptist convention in Asheville NC this week. The association remains in session through Monday with many matters to discuss and act upon.

Confederates Museum Group Seeks County Representatives
The Georgia Confederate Museum and Memorial Association led by Dr. George Brown seeks a lady vice president and official county representatives to organize across Georgia. It aims to establish a Confederate and colonial relic museum in Atlanta with donor recognition and has already received a $10,000 collection. Jackson Sunday Schools Picnic at Indian Springs May 23
The annual union Sunday School picnic of Jackson churches will be held at Indian Springs next Tuesday May 23. Banks and business houses will close for the day to allow large attendance. Members from Baptist Methodist and Presbyterian churches will travel by train or car with 80 cent round trip on the Southern and 10 cents from Flovilla to Indian Springs by F I S Railway. A noon picnic dinner will be served in the casino.

The Dumble property at Mulberry and West Third streets was auctioned Monday by J. W. Goddard. Six Third street lots sold to J. M. Leach two, J. B. Guthrie one, S. H Eisman one, and Dr. J. A. Jarrell two. Mulberry street home place was offered but withdrawn for private sale later.
