Dr. Carter Dies After Illness En Route to Atlanta
The party traveling to South Carolina for Dr. Carter's funeral returned yesterday evening. They report he grew very ill on the train before reaching Atlanta and wrote his will on a writing pad with two passengers as witnesses. He was carried to Mrs. Carter's sister's home in Greenville but died despite medical care.
