Prof. George Williams of Lawrenceville elected principal succeeding Prof. George Mingledorff who resigned after three years. Williams, a June graduate with high honors, has one year teaching experience and will also teach mathematics at Jackson High School.

Street Railway Promise Expands Across County

Capt. L. W. Roberts, president of the company, won council support to keep the railroad in the city on the condition tracks stay in good repair. The plan includes a street railway and interurban lines extending to Griffin, Monticello, and surrounding counties with possible branches. Officials expect to return to advance electric car service.

Fertilizer tag sales this year are expected to surpass previous years amid brisk trade in fertilizer materials. Senator W J Harris of Cedartown backs the measure, earning him the nickname Pure Fertilizer Harris, with farmers praising its safeguards and labeling requirements that reveal true fertilizer content versus filler.
