Mrs W R White Dies at 79 in Yonkers

Mrs Alice Tracy White, wife of William Robert White for more than 45 years, died at her home in Yonkers at 154 Lockwood Avenue. Funeral services were held at Vanderbilt Funeral Home in Tarrytown, with Interment in Ferncliff Cemetery. She was born in Ireland, lived in England, came to the United States in 1966, and previously lived in Irvington and Yonkers. Survived by husband, a daughter Florence Naylor of Tarrytown, and a brother Harry Tracy of Cairo, N.Y. The Irvington Woman's Club picnic is announced for Tuesday, June 14 at 6:00 PM.

Girl Scouts Rally On Perfect June Day In Irvington

Irvington scouts and Brownies held weekend events at the Irvington Presbyterian Church and Church of St. Barnabas on a sunny June day. Proposal to make Osceola Avenue a village street

At a town hall meeting the Planning Board discussed taking Osceola Avenue from Back Road to the Dobbs Ferry line as a village street. Key Club to Restore Village Honor Roll at Irvington

The Key Club of Irvington High School won board approval to restore the Roll of Honor on the Croton Aqueduct at Main Street and install a scoreboard at Memorial Park athletic field. Dr. Prod R. Melone, adviser, said the club would supply materials and do the work. the Honor Bell will carry names of Irvington veterans from World War II and the Korean War.
