St Barnabas to Celebrate 85th Anniversary in Irvington
Irvington marks the eighty fifth anniversary of St Barnabas Episcopal Church with a weekend festival. Three one act plays open the celebration at Town Hall, a garden fete follows Saturday, and Sunday services cap the events. The church traces back to 1853 with origins in a chapel school funded by McVickar and notable New York figures, leading to its parish status and later institutions. Patronesses and volunteers coordinate plays, costumes, and sound as choir interludes enrich intermissions. A garden fete on the church lawn features colorful booths and community activities.
