Car No 8 driven by Unrrles Bowers and mechanic L Mouse were severely hurt when it crashed through fences at Death Curve. Arthur Chevrolet and Jack Finch also had collisions but uninjured. several spectators injured. Louis Chevrolet set a 100 mile track record in Buick before a later accident. American Boy Murdered by a Mexican in El Paso
In El Paso Texas on October 16 an American youth was stabbed to death after an altercation with a Mexican over a flag. Plank Falls Injures Building Foreman on Studebaker Site
T. J. Gillespie an assistant foreman on the Studebaker building under construction along Pennsylvania Street north of New York Street was seriously hurt Saturday morning when a plank fell striking him in the chest. Taken to Deaconess Hospital, it is believed he will recover. He was on the second floor as boards were being taken up when one loosened and fell. Gillespie resides on Oliver Avenue.

Garter Charged After Shooting At May Allen
Eldridge Carter was taken from Deaconess hospital to the police station Saturday charged with shooting with intent to kill. He had been wounded earlier and shot at May Allen, widow of Albert Habener, then turned the weapon on himself. The bullet passed within an inch of his heart.
