Commencement Exercises at Normal Chapel Close School Week
The Normal school held its commencement in the chapel on Wednesday morning with prayers, a Glee Club performance, and several student essays and recitations. Valedictorian Elsie D. Canan announced the Tyranny of the Modern Novel, while G. Dave Fleck delivered the farewell address The diplomas were presented by Dr. D. J. Wailer and the class sang America. A long visitor list followed with many local families and former students noted by name and town.
