Million Pounds Prunes Packed In Small Cartons
Approximately 1,000,000 pounds of dried prunes will be packed in one two and five pound cartons this year by the Oregon Growers' Cooperative association. Keen demand is being made for this type of package instead of for the larger boxes and bulk. Oregon growers anticipate an impetus to the prune industry through use of this package similar to the impetus given the raisin industry through the five cent carton.
