Uniform Jersey herd travels long road to Oregon pasture
A group of Jersey cows arrived after a 7000 mile journey and display remarkable uniformity and strong milk production traits. Most animals calved en route or on arrival, with two calves born on the road and one calf dying in quarantine. Mr Spann secured a calf from a noted Jersey cow he admired, gifting it to Mr Nelson as a gesture of goodwill amid cooperative efforts.
