Red Cross offers safe tips for lawn mowing
Red Cross safety services urge spring lawn care caution. First aid chairman Steve Morey warns injuries occur when mower manuals are ignored. Follow tips: inspect mowers for safety features, study controls, wear proper clothing and shoes, disconnect spark plug when repairing, refuel after turning off, store gasoline outside, mow across slopes, clear rocks and toys, and take a first aid course. Safety line: call 744-0161 for Red Cross first aid courses.
