Hubbard Community Pool nears 300000 total attendance just over a year in operation. Richard Cepin says the pool offers 30 plus programs, operates year round seven days, and emphasizes safety with a staff of 26 including lifeguards and water safety instructors. Police report a knife armed robbery at Lawson’s Dairy Store on West Liberty Street. Vandals took about $625 in items from Leo L. Beach’s garage and damaged Alan Clark’s pool with rocks and dirt, estimated at $150. A chain saw worth $150 disappeared from Wendell F. Schlais’s property.

Hubbard Hubbard schools received 5468 dollars in Title IV C funds for 1978 79 covering three programs Reading Comprehension and Survival Skills PROBE Gifted and Talented Students and CPR Inservice and Implementation.
