Lower electric rates expected in Hubbard settlement

St Patrick's Church fall festival opens with prizes galore
St Patrick's Church in Hubbard kicks off its annual fall festival with Youth Night from 6 to 10 p.m. tomorrow and ongoing activities Thursday through Sunday. Grand prize is either a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice or 4,500 dollars, drawn Sunday night, with other 500 and 100 dollar drawings nightly. Rides, games, baked goods, and a quilt raffle by eighth graders accompany various prizes and attractions. Father Francis J. Hughes leads the parish, with Chick Wittenauer as general chairman.

Brookfield Homecoming Celebrates 30th annual festival
Brookfield Township enjoyed a week of festivities including a midway opening, Local Parade with 27 participating groups, and cash prizes for best floats awarded to Brookfield PTA Masury-Brookfield Juniorette Club and Trumbull County Nursing Home. Thunder performed on Thursday, the Firemen's Parade highlighted Friday with about 80 departments, and Saturday featured a matinee ride special, a raffle and a fireworks finale by local firefighters. Sandi Whittingstall and court attended the parade.
