Bell's bill on schools accepted in Arkansas Senate
Sen. Clarence E. Bell of Parkin won Senate approval Monday for a plan to distribute state aid to public schools and proposed postponing school elections to September. Gov. Pryor backs a different formula. both plans aim for roughly 202 million dollars next year and 220 million the following year, shifting toward enrollment based funding. The dispute centers on equity and timing amid a related court challenge to the current formula. The note adds a historical line that the first US gold coins were struck in 1795 and last in 1933.
