US to review Indigenous boarding schools history

Nursing home COVID toll tops 2020 losses in US report
The IG's DHHS review finds nursing home Medicare patients suffered a 32 percent rise in COVID death risk in 2020 with two sharp spikes. About 40 percent of 2020 Medicare nursing home recipients had or likely had COVID-19, and total excess deaths rose 169,291 from 2019. Asian and minority patients showed higher death rate increases, while low income Medicare Medicaid patients faced the highest infection and death rates.
