Detroit Police Prepared for Crumbleys Fleeing Oakland Case
Detroit Police Chief James White said the department planned for the Crumbleys to flee Detroit during the Oxford High School shooting investigation. Officers coordinated with metro division and special response teams, aided by U S Marshals and Michigan State Police, to apprehend James and Jennifer Crumbley without incident. The arrest followed a 911 tip and involved a sustained multi-agency operation, with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office leading the case and the Oxford community receiving condolences from the department.
