Union County model plane meet set for Sunday at Warinaneo Park
Union County juniors are expected at the Warinaneo Park field in Elizabeth Sunday June 15 for an all day model airplane meet chaired by Raymond D Matthews of Hillside. Co sponsored by Plymouth dealers and the Elizabeth Daily Journal the event runs from 1 pm to 7 pm with a rain date the following Sunday.

Funeral Held For Principal's Father in Linden
Funeral services were held Saturday in Rosehill Memorial Chapel Linden for Henry Auster 82 father of Ruhl L Custer principal of the high school who died after several weeks illness. Rev G S Harper Franklin Memorial Methodist Church officiated. Interment at family plot Grafton West Virginia at convenience of family. Auster born December 10 1869 in Hoyes Maryland a retired Grafton merchant and member of Andrews Methodist Church. Survived by three grandchildren in addition to his son.

Episcopal Church of St. Mary Magdalene Switches to Summer Schedule
The Episcopal Church of St Mary Magdalene in Newark will end the regular Sunday schedule after June 15 with a 11 o clock Choral Eucharist and a sermon by the rector. The church school will show The Strength of the Hills a colored movie about American Indians with no admission charge. Beginning June 22 a single Sunday service at 9 30 a m will run through the summer.

Irvington Autoist Injured In Crash
Byron A. Cole Jr. 29 of 616 Lyons Avenue Irvington was hurt when his pickup hit a Green Flyer bus then jumped the curb and rested on Hillside High School lawn on Liberty Avenue. He refused medical aid. Police cited glare from headlights as possible cause. Bus driver Manuel Goncalves 43 of Roselle Park was unharmed.

Solution Found For Graduation Problem
Milton S. Kessler of 1559 Wyndmoor Avenue earned a PhD in sociology from New York University yesterday. The Kessler family faced a scheduling clash as Michael, age five, was set to graduate with the George Washington School morning kindergarten class at the same moment. The family sought a solution to the simultaneous ceremonies.

School Holds Party For Junior Patrol at Hillside School
Mrs Mildred Stephan fourth grade teacher and Junior Patrol adviser led a party for patrol members in the school cafeteria with student helpers Wendy Mankowitz Susan Zwillman and Barbara Rosenberg.
