A display at National State Bank Hillside Office features Earl Brunner Jr’s collection of American Indian artifacts from river banks and campsites. The four trays include projectile points, seven ceremonial banner stones, a large pestle from the Rahway River area, a Delaware traprock hoe, adz, axes, and other items. William Buchanan Rites Held for Hillside Man Born in Scotland
Funeral services were held Friday for William Buchanan 73 of John Glenn Drive Hillside who died Tuesday in Beth Israel Hospital. A tool and die maker for American Can in Newark 35 years he was a lifetime member of Clydesdale Lodge F and AM in Scotland. Surviving are his wife two sons daughters and many relatives including 13 grandchildren. Also noted is Andrew Pactaes 20 of Hillside fined 1 and court costs for failing to pay a 10 cent toll on the Garden State Parkway with the arrest recorded June 4 1964 and paid July 7 1964.
