North Carolina men plan seaweed farm in Atlantic Sea
Greensboro businessman William Campbell and Winston Salem’s F Roger Pace Jr announce a project to farm sargassum seaweed 40 to 70 miles off the Carolinas and Georgia coasts with a target of creating a $20 million industry. They form Aqua D to patents harvesting algin and other extracts for food textile agriculture and medicine.
