In Thomasville First United Methodist Church hosted the Saturday evening wedding of Donna Ann Holland and Joel Keith Stuckey of Burlington. The ceremony featured Rev. Robert Bunch with organist Virginia Hooker and soloists Jim Hooker and Albert Belangia.
Mrs. Frederick Crownfield of Guilford College spoke to the Woman's Club Fine Arts Department at a Friday luncheon about Pre-Columbian art. The program featured slides showing monolithic statues at the University of Mexico and quetzal birds, with discussion on Mayan and Peruvian cultures and the era’s religious and aesthetic aspects.
Miss Jane Carter bride elect was honored at a bridesmaids luncheon at Holiday Inn hosted by Mrs. Carey Kellam Mrs. Bill Price and Mrs. Don Upton. A corsage was given and a silver gift was presented later. Guests included Mrs. Aline Carter and Mrs. William Vaughn. Dennis Eugene Vaughn and Miss Carter to marry Sunday at First Baptist Church.

A general meeting of the Woman's Society of Christian Service at Main Street Methodist Church is set for this evening at 7 30 in the Woman's Wesley Class. Mrs Clayton Kearns serves as president and will lead the session.
PBX Club officers were installed during a luncheon meeting at Brinwood Restaurant on English Rand. Mrs. Barnlee Helms of Anderson, S C, state president, administered the oath. New officers are Mrs. Alva Scott president, Mrs. Beadle Mabry vice president, Mrs. Charles Saintsing secretary, and Mrs. Don Driggars treasurer.
Peggy Jean Hedgecock daughter of Mr and Mrs Orest Hedgecock married Tony M Brown in a 3 pm ceremony at Lebannon United Methodist Church. Rev Lewis Vuncannon officiated with Marvin Williams at organ and D C Phillips as soloist. The bride wore organza with lace and a cathedral train. Attendant Joyce Hedgecock and bridesmaids Diana Hedgecock Vicki Hedrick carried bouquets. Ushers included Stephen Hedgecock Thomas Anderson. Bride is a 1966 Central High School graduate and Long Distance operator for North State Telephone. Brown, a 1966 Central High School graduate, served in Vietnam and works for the City of High Point.

Stirewall 703 EB Lexington Ave. Lady Lions review spring fashions at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel. Y's Menettes meet at 8 p.m. with Mrs. Jack Hawks 3407 Langdale Dr. Book League discusses Contemporary books at 1 a.m. at High Point Public Library. Altrusa Club gathers at Top-of-the-Mart at 6:30 p.m. Dr. TR Zimmerman conducts greenhouse tour for Pinewood Garden Club at 7:30 p.m. Memorial service for High Point Chapter 106 Order of the Eastern Star at Masonic Temple 8 p.m. Twentieth Century Study Club meets 12:30 p.m. at Emerywood Country Club hosted by Mrs. P. J. Neal.
