The decision ends the antitrust dispute with Spencer Haywood and the Denver Rockets, voiding the rule as unlawful.
Defense attorney George Latimer complains the Calley jury drags out deliberations while jurors reportedly request laundry, pay, and long hours. Judge Kennedy refuses to set strict hours, aiming for a well considered verdict as testimony from witnesses like James Dursi is discussed.
