Williford, son of Mrs James Gatewood and the late Edward Williford, attended by best man Terry Easter and ushers Jimmy Weant and Jimmy Traylor, will reside in Thomasville. Both graduates work locally. she at Cedric's Fish and Chips, he in High Point traffic engineering.

Two High Point YWCA members Sara Hunt and Delores Thomas will join about 2000 delegates at the 27th National Convention of the YWCA USA June 21 26 at Notre Dame Indiana. Auman Hall Couple Feted Ahead of June 26 Wedding
Elizabeth Lyon Auman and Clyburn Leonard Hall were honored Friday at a square dance hosted by Vickie Kinah Debe Frazier and Mrs. Cockerham in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Lee Marshall called the dance amid a red white and blue Western theme as relatives presented gifts including a niece of china. Special guests included Mrs. Peggie G Auman and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Gillam. A linen and lingerie shower was held Thursday at Mrs Walter Collie’s home with corsages roses and streamers. The couple plans to wed June 26 at the First United Methodist Church.

Special Program Planned at High Point Public Library
Stories and songs in sign language for deaf and hearing children begin tomorrow in the children's room at 10 30 a m and run weekly through Aug 17. Miss Christopher Baar heads the program and teaches signed storytelling and basic signing for hearing children. An adults class and parent program will be offered at Guilford County Communications Center for the Deaf, with information on local sign language classes and services. The hour long weekly program aims to foster communication among deaf and non deaf children and families.
