Publix Detention System Aims to Tame Stormwater Flooding
Hendersonville officials describe a 6.9 acre Publix site with an underground detention system under the parking lot and near Mud Creek designed to detain about 10 275 cubic feet of water per rainfall and slow runoff into Mud Creek and Greenville Highway. The city will inspect annually while Publix maintains the system. Local readers are invited to submit questions to Lightning's Matt Matteson.
