Students collect and share books to boost home reading
Emma and BJ Laughter spearhead a continuing book drive at Green Meadows High, expanding from a first round that yielded about 1,000 books. The effort, aided by social media and a school messenger, aims to place books in homes where reading access is limited, with a second event planned for Oct. 12 featuring Bruce Drysdale.
