Laurel Park to debut Rhododendron Lake Nature Park with picnic
After nine years of planning and funding, Hendersonville's Laurel Park unveils Rhododendron Lake Nature Park with a 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27 celebration. The event includes a history walk, ribbon cutting, and an experts corner with master gardeners, birders, and conservationists. Volunteers and civic groups helped transform the overgrown lake into a nature park with walking trails, a pedestrian bridge, benches, and landscaping funded by multiple grants and private donations.
