Rev and Mrs Anderson Begin Month Long Vacation Trip
Rev and Mrs R W Anderson leave Monday for a month at Shocko Springs near Talladega. The pastor at the Hartselle Methodist church received a leave of absence from the board of stewards. He is regarded as one of Hartselle’s most beloved ministers during his two years with the church. Local citizens extend best wishes to the couple for their stay.

Hartselle Fishing Club Approves Dam Project for Lake Ashworth
The Hartselle Fishing Club awarded the Shoal Creek dam contract to R A Burleson and A M Dunaway. The 54 by 16 by 400 foot concrete dam will create a 40 acre Lake Ashworth, with depths of 8 to 15 feet, near Hartselle on the Somerville pike. Construction began Wednesday, aiming for completion in September, with stocking planned and a clubhouse to follow.
