Rockbrook Farms Montalba Texas hosts the Texas Junior Hereford Field Day on Friday June 13 beginning 8 a.m. at the ranch headquarters southwest of Athens. The program features a Hereford cattle breeding judging contest a queen candidates introduction and a winter heifer calf prize donated by Rockbrook. AJA executive vice president Hop Dickenson delivers the keynote with awards to top teams and a guided tour of the operation followed by a 8 p.m. country dance for TJHA members.
Hill Country Horse Club hosts Sunday evening Calf Roping Steer Roping Bronc and Bull Riding and Barrel Race practice with stock from Lester Meier Rodeo Co. Public welcome free.
