Summer Brings Many Changes on Campus
Wylie Hall the new men’s residence hall west of the Sigma Chi house is completed and in use. Major remodeling at Newby Hall infirmary nears completion with two new wings added and a temporary infirmary in Long Gymnasium. A new girls’ residence behind Hall rises for fall 1964. Classic Hall gets major interior remodeling with classrooms, offices, and a new student smoking lounge. Donner Annex becomes Blythe Annex. Blythe, Crowe, and Ide Halls receive redecorated lounges and new furniture. Gas heating installed campus-wide, parking lots expanded, new kitchen gear at Crowe and Donner Halls, and several science departments receive new equipment.

Hanover Budget Balanced as 1962 63 Report Shows
President Horner announced in his annual report that Hanover had a balanced budget for the past year. The Education and General Budget was 1 018 805 dollars, with tuition and fees about 65 percent of the total and 18 percent from the endowment. Alumni and donor gifts plus a $10 000 Kellogg Foundation grant supported books for the Hanover Library. Endowment bequests ranged from 1 000 to 75 000 dollars.
