Phi Gams Win 1963 Bike Race and Trophy Parade
The Phi Gams clinched the traditional BIKE RACE in 1963 posting a win for the fifth time in seven years. Riders Milo Miller Bob Doane Bill Blackburn and Skip Throop led with captain Bob Doane and manager John Small. Sigma Chi took second led by Dave MacArthur and manager Mike Needler. Theta and Alpha Delts also earned trophies for uniforms and pit decorations amid a social afterparty.

Indiana University athletic director Bill Orwig opened with a speech on college athletics. Before awards, track captain Phil Wasmuth presented Dean Glen Bonnett a plaque for team honors. Bonsett will retire this June to become Dean of Men. Leo Kelley gave MVP to Dick Beal and Most Valuable Lineman to Steve Smith. Dick also earned the R. F. Struck Mental Attitude trophy. golf and other awards noted. baseball awards pending.

June 2 marks Hanover's first outdoor commencement at 3:00 p m in front of Parker Auditorium with the Bac calaureate service at 10 30 a m. IRC delays closing policy rollout to 1964 fall
At the Thursday May 16 meeting IRC members were informed that the new closing policies for women will not be completed by the end of the current school year. The policy will not take effect next fall but will be in force by the fall of 1964.

C A S Decides Next Year's Attractions
Five Community Artist Series programs are set for the next school year. Hal Holbrook will present Mark Twain Tonight on October 30, Josh White performs December 4, Lee Luvisi appears February 12, the Louisville Symphony under Robert Whitney gives a March 17 concert with a children's show beforehand, and Theodor Uppman closes the series with a Metropolitan Opera recital later in spring. Student tickets will be $6 with information in summer.

Judy Moffett, a Cincinnati junior with a philosophy and English double major, was announced as next year's editor of the Hill Thoughts literary magazine at last Wednesday's picnic for contributors. She has served on the editors' board for two years, won the poetry prize for City Snowstorm, and earned multiple honors including Alpha Lambda Delta, Gamma Sigma Pi, Alpha Phi Gamma, the Charles Lathrop Pack Essay Prize, the Lynn English prize, and the Edward J Hamilton Essay Prize.

Triangle earns First Class Honor from ACP ratings
The Hanover College Triangle earned a First Class Honor from the Associated Collegiate Press for its first semester issues. Of 442 entries, the Triangle ranked 34th among weekly papers in 700 to 1200 student institutions and scored 3210 points, with excellent coverage in news and features, sports display, headlines, and photography.
