Mr and Mrs Charles Becker welcomed a son born at 1 21 Monday morning at Kare County Hospital in Perry. Edna Kirmer accompanied Mr Jerry Kamer and Philip of West Des Moines to Estherville for the State Marching Band Contest and Band Festival where sixteen bands performed and Valley High earned a preliminary rating.

Panora Couple Wed In St Cecilia Parish Ceremony
Sharon Louie Vogel of Panora and Michael Brent Cummins of Norwood, North Carolina were married September 10 at St Cecilia's Church in Panora. Rev Joseph Schulte officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride wore a white bonded crepe gown. attendants in orange, yellow and brown printed silk. A four tier cake and reception followed in the church parlors with guests, gifts, and guest book led by local organizers. The couple reside in Norwood where Cummins serves as deans.
