The Guthrie County Farm Bureau Women held a full workshop Monday Oct 11 in the Farm Bureau Building Guthrie Center. A full day of activities began at 9:30 with registration and coffee. County officers led the program and state theme Happiness is Opportunities for Involvement guided talks on parliamentary procedures public safety and farm bureau activities. A potluck dinner fed 32 registered attendees.

Marriage Announced in Dillon Lutheran Church
Mr and Mrs Richard Wolken of LeGrand announce the marriage of their daughter Annette to Mr Dennis Hammond of Guthrie Center. The ceremony was held Saturday September 25 at the Dillon Trinity Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. with Rev Gerald Erdman officiating. Attending were Mr and Mrs Pack Hickman of Pella. A reception for 75 followed in the church social hall. The couple will reside at 604 Hubert St, Pella as Mr Hammond continues college studies at Central College.
