The Yale Women’s Society of Christian Service presented a February 17 meeting at United Methodist Church with a skit titled The Middle Years A Time for New Risks. The program explored changes and challenges for midlife members in a community context.
The document lists multiple social items including Valentine remembrances, a 25th wedding anniversary for Wesley and Lucy Van Pelt with guests from Guthrie Center and Linden, a Lazy Daisy Club lingerie demo led by Joyce Hanysh, and Yale Past Chiefs brunch at Pearl Johnson’s. It also notes family weddings, church greetings, campus visitors, and various local happenings across Des Moines, Perry, Jamaica, Panora, and surrounding towns.
The Stitch and Chatter met Wednesday afternoon with Leona Ludwig in attendance. Members present included Mary Ann Plagman, Violet Oberholtz, Esther Larson, Ruth Henderson, Gladys Hernot, and Callie Maas. Esther Larson chaired the business meeting as Marie opened remarks.
Leota Shea returned home from the hospital. Mr and Mrs Kenneth King ery recently returned from a six weeks trip through the Southern and Western states. They visited relatives in Redwood City San Francisco and Los Angeles California and in Phoenix Arizona. They also spent two weeks in Port Isabelle Texas with Mr Kungerys sister. Mr and Mrs Russell Kasier. Mr and Mrs Merle Sanborn. Mr and Mrs Virgil Sanborn. Mrs Don Powell and L D Sanborn and son Barry attended funeral services for Leo Partlow at Grimes Saturday February 27. Mr and Mrs Ardan Wood of Fontanelle spent Saturday evening with Mr and Mrs Fory Bassett.

The notice names Treas Mastere Hazel Wash as administrators with address and filing deadlines for claims and probate actions in the matter of the estate.
