Local Girl Scouts Honored At Court Of Awards Tuesday
The Girl Scout Court of Awards and Brownie Fly-up was held Tuesday May 20 in the elementary school all purpose room. Brownies 113 and 311 received World Friendship pins and signified their Fly-up to junior level with wings. Senior and cadette troops were recognized with badges, caps, and pins, and several seniors received tea spoons as mementos.

Brethren and Methodist Bible School Set for June 2 6
Vacation Bible School will be held the first week of June at the Church of the Brethren and United Methodist Churches. Administrator Mrs Darrell Needham announced ten all day sessions from 9 00 a m to 2 30 p m with an open house and potluck on June 6 at the Church of the Brethren grounds. Five classes will cover themes including Gods Plan For Me Friends Around Me Our Family in the Community Bible Lands and Times and Paul Man With A Mission. Various teachers and assistants led Kindergarten through Elementary levels with recreation and offerings supporting Church World Service.
