Iowa to enroll 15000 elderly welfare recipients in Medicare
The state board of social welfare signed an agreement to enroll Iowa’s 15 000 elderly welfare recipients in Medicare Part A hospital insurance starting July 1 They may also buy into Part B by paying a 3 monthly premium from federal state funds Iowa joins 18 other states pursuing buy in for uninsured recipients The note is an Iowa Press Association release with continued coverage on page 4
