Mrs Walter Marsh welcomed the Contract Bridge Club guests Wednesday evening. Mrs Walter Bohl Mrs Clarence Adams and Mrs Paul Bucklen attended. After a seven o'clock dessert luncheon the high at the bridge tables went to Mrs Irene Barth with second place to Mrs Florence Schmitt. Galen Rex returned home Tuesday from Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Jerry Adams Receives Ph D in Psychology at Iowa
Jerry R. Adams earned his Ph D in Psychology on June 7 1968 at the University of Iowa Iowa City. Attendants included his parents and relatives from Marble Rock Mason City Rockford Charles City Kirksville Minneapolis and Debra Amber. The Marble Rock Garden Club gathered at Mrs. Marsh’s home Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Jim Overby, president, presiding after a 1:30 dessert luncheon. Verne Fish taught care of small electrical appliances, Overby spoke on the pear tree as the month’s tree, and roll call honored a favorite wild flower. Mrs. Marsh showed a vase with a hat motif and demonstrated an iris hat display as the centerpieces for July, which includes a northeast Iowa historical points tour and a picnic lunch.
