Three Injured In Car Accident Near Charles City
Mrs. Charles Pyatt and sons Tim and Stuart were hurt when their car was rear ended seven miles west of Charles City at Highway 14 and a county road. James Aldrich and two passengers in his car were also injured. Tim, four, broke both legs, Stuart, nine and a half, was seriously hurt, and Mrs. Pyatt sustained minor injuries. Charges are pending.

Medicare enrollment soars for seniors in six month period
About 700,000 older people signed up for Medicare Part B between October 1, 1967 and April 1 this year as enrollment rose to 95 percent for 65 and over. Social Security Commissioner Robert M Ball announced the gain, noting 18.6 million of 19.6 million seniors are enrolled.
