Dial System Adopted by Bristow News Telephone

The West Point Mutual Telephone Company switched to dial operation Thursday at 2:00 PM after being sold two years ago to Rockwell Cooperative Telephone Association. Since April, a part time crew managed daily shifts, with Mrs. Fred Finke, Mrs. Lawrence True, Wilma Wells, Mrs. Roy Merfeld, Carol Shreve, night operator Mrs. Lee Hahn, and lineman Gus Siefken. A party at the new office honored the workers and directors involved in installing the system. Visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sherman of Corvallis, Oregon, and their daughter Jane from LeMars, visiting Narold Sherman’s home for ten days and a two-week stay for Jane.
